BEAUTIFYING THE VINEYARDS OF PORT ORANGE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.

One of Southern States Management Group’s Community Association Managers, Peggy Komishock, was recently instrumental in obtaining a variance from City of Port Orange for a project at The Vineyards of Port Orange Homeowners Association, Inc.

The President of the Association, Geno Brown, and Peggy Komishock met with the City’s Community Development Director, Tim Burman, to develop a plan that was satisfactory to all parties involved. The plan and application consisted of the removal 18 Oak Trees which roots were structurally damaging the retaining wall and up heaving the sidewalks. The Association was granted a Planning Committee hearing in August 2019 which was attend by three board members and our CAM. After hearing our plan and viewing the pictures of damage, the Planning Board passed unanimously to allow for a variance to remove 18 live oak trees. All involved were very pleased with the results and thank Asplundh Tree who removed branches from power lines and Reilly Tree Service who did the majority of the remaining work.
