In March of 2019, Southern States Management Group, Inc. (SSMG) celebrated our 30th year working throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties. As a local, family owned community management firm, our leadership team decided to create a private Foundation for the purpose of improving the standard of living for those in need in the immediate areas. With specific emphasis on transitional and permanent housing, physical and mental wellness, social stability and educational opportunity, The Foundation raises much needed funds annually for charitable organizations in Volusia and Flagler County. This year, the Group hosted their popular Golf Classic again on April 12, 2021. Last year The Foundation was able to donate $30,000 to Family Renew and this year, the team at SSMG was proud to donate $35,000 to Family Life Center in Flagler County. Family Life Center was established in 1987 and their goals are to provide temporary refuge to any adult and any accompanying minor or dependent adult, to educate the community on the issues of violence in our society, to publicize the availability of the services of the corporation to the public and to maintain a commitment to break the cycle of violence that is perpetuated from generation to generation by maintaining an Outreach Program for children. “The Family Life Center cannot begin to properly express our gratitude for your generous donation and the opportunity to partner to end domestic violence and sexual assault within our community. Too often families are torn apart by these insidious crimes which can cause extensive trauma to the victims and their children. The Southern Management Group, through donations and care, will help survivors receive the emotional, psychological and tangible support necessary to begin their healing journey. The hundreds of adult and child victims we serve each year will directly benefit from your bold (and much appreciated) choice to stand up against domestic violence and rape; to say “No More”. This contribution underscores the values espoused by Southern Management Group of building long term relationships and supporting our community. Thank you for your commitment to expose your team members to various environments and helping spread awareness while building up the capacity of your team to effectively and efficiently support victims. The East Central Chapter of The Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA) recently hosted their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament and Southern States Management Group (SSMG) participated. The fundraiser supported the Flagler County Lifeguard program providing swimming lessons to those in need. This was the second year that SSMG joined this local group to raise much needed funds. PALM COAST & DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Monday, December 14, 2020) – On Monday, November 16, 2020, Joshua Trujillo joined Southern States Realty Services (SSRS) staff as the Marketing Coordinator & Operations Manager. Trujillo joins SSRS with some great advertising and marketing experience – working with both media and real estate. Trujillo will be the operations arm of SSRS’s real estate entity and will manage their portfolio of rental property clients. Trujillo is a Daytona Beach resident but originally hails from just down the road, in Brevard County, and brings with him a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Florida Real Estate License. Also, Brianne Bailey has joined the Southern States Management Group (SSMG) team. Bailey will be working as a part of SSMG’s corporate administrative staff. She relocated to Palm Coast from Utah where she worked in several different positions with the Strawberry High Line Canal Company. She brings with her a significant amount of administrative experience – including human resources, fleet management, IT operations, meeting preparations and documentation and planning and development and more.
